As one of his first duties the new Moderator welcomed guests from other denominations and from around the world.

Opening Session

Assembly opened with a distinctly Scots flavour, with the sound of the pipes and Synod of Scotland Moderator John Arthur resplendant in a kilt.

One of the first tasks was the induction of the incoming Moderator, the Reverend John Waller, by his predecessor, the Reverend Elizabeth Welch.
